The Caldwell County Board of Elections is made up of 3 full time staff members, the Director and two Deputy Directors, and 1 part time staff member. The Election Board is made up of 3 members. One representative from each party and an additional member that is of the party of the current governor.
There are currently over 52,000 registered voters in Caldwell County.
The Caldwell County Board of Elections conducts an election at least once a year and at times as many as 3 a year. In even numbered years, our office conducts primaries, 2nd primaries and general elections. In odd numbered years, our office conducts municipal elections for the 8 municipalities located within our county.
Election Day for the November 2013 Municipal Elections is November 5
**You must live within a municipality and be a registered voter to be eligible to vote in a municipal election**
If you need to register to vote or update your voter registration information (i.e. address change, name change, etc.), the deadline is Oct 11 at 5 p.m.
You may print the voter registration application found above and mail it to us or come by our office.
Voter registration updates may also be completed during One-Stop early voting.
Absentee by Mail: Absentee ballots may be requested by mail until October 29 at 5 p.m. Please use the form below and mail or deliver it to our office or stop by M-F from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Early Voting Sites are at the Caldwell County Office Building and at the Granite Recreation Center
Early Voting hours for both locations are as follows:
October 17-18 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
October 19 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
October 21-25 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
October 26 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
October 28 – November 1 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
November 2 8:00 – 1:00 p.m.
Election Day Polling Hours
November 5 6:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
