The Caldwell County Board of Elections is made up of 3 full time staff members, the Director and two Deputy Directors, and 1 part time staff member. The Election Board is made up of 3 members. One representative from each party and an additional member that is of the party of the current governor.
There are currently over 53,000 registered voters in Caldwell County.
The Caldwell County Board of Elections conducts an election at least once a year and at times as many as 3 a year. In even numbered years, our office conducts primaries, 2nd primaries and general elections. In odd numbered years, our office conducts municipal elections for the 8 municipalities located within our county.
If you are interested in the Same Day Registration, please bring with you a Drivers Lic. or State ID with a current address, or utility bill, paycheck or other form of gov’t document. You must have your name and current address where you live on this form of ID that you bring.
Early Voting Sites are at the Caldwell County Office and at the Granite Recreation Center
Election Day
Polls Open : 6:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
If you are not sure which house district you are in, you can look at the precinct list, and if you know your polling location, it will list your house district. You may also call the office if you are not sure which is your house district.
