Health Education/Promotion is any activity with clear goals planned for the purpose of improving health-related knowledge, attitudes or behavior.  Our Health Education/Promotion team strives to meet these goals by:

Health-related education classes available to the public. Conduct the community health assessment every 4 years. Health fairs, media presentations. Health promotion concentrates on nutrition, physical activity and tobacco issues. Offer a Resource Library on many health topics to the public provide consultation, referrals, and training. Work with community groups to enable them to develop networks and build coalitions on health-related topics. Serve as the public relations contact for media. Work closely with Healthy Caldwellians-our local initiative for North Carolina's Healthy Carolinians.
