From the Director:
The mission of the Caldwell County Department of Social Services is two-fold:
(1) To help families and individuals optimize their self-reliance and self-sufficiency, and
(2) To protect vulnerable people - particularly children, older adults, and the disabled - from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. 

The purpose of this website is to provide access to information on services that can make it easier for people to get the help they need. Please scroll down for links to more information. We hope you will contact us by phone or in person, should you need to do so. Our office is located at 2345 Morganton Boulevard, S.W. Suite A, and our main phone number is 828-426-8200. Our regular office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
