Purpose

To protect disabled adults from abuse, neglect or exploitation.

Eligibility

Adults who have disabilities which have incapacitated them so that they are unable to take care of themselves, and who have no one able or willing to assist them with the care they need.

Special Information

To make a report of suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation of an adult, please call 426-8200 and ask for the Protective Services intake worker.

DSS is required to investigate reports of abuse within 24 hours and all other reports within 72 hours.
