The Appraisal/Revaluation Department is responsible for appraising all real property in the county for tax purposes. The appraised value is 100 percent of market value as of Jan. 1 of the last reappraisal year. Caldwell County is on a eight-year reappraisal cycle; the last reappraisal was effective Jan. 1, 2005, and the next will be effective Jan. 1, 2013.

The Appraisal/Revaluation Department is located on the lower level of the County Office Building.
