Caldwell County residents with delinquent mortgages can take advantage of foreclosure counseling services due to actions taken by the Board of Commissioners on December 15.

Due to the changing economy, the Caldwell County Board of Commissioners and other local governments in the four county region have arranged for Western Piedmont Council of Governments staff to provide foreclosure prevention counseling to residents.    The goal of foreclosure prevention counseling is to assist residents with delinquent mortgages in developing a successful workout plan or loan modification.  Western Piedmont Council of Government is a HUD Certified Counseling Agency.
