Two COVID-19 cases were reported today — both in the 28645 Zip code and between the ages of 25 and 49.
Today, Gov. Roy Cooper announced the state will move into Safer at Home Phase 2.5 beginning this Friday, September 4, at 5 p.m. As part of this new phase:
- Gyms and other indoor exercise facilities can open at 30 percent capacity.
- The limits on mass gatherings will increase to 25 people indoors and 50 people outdoors.
- Playgrounds will be allowed to open. Museums and aquariums can open at 50 percent capacity.
- Large venues remain subject to the mass gathering limits.
