Additional Information
The remnants of Delta will likely bring periods of moderate to locally heavy rainfall to NC this weekend. Much of western North Carolina is expected to see two to four inches of rain over the weekend with higher totals of four to six inches possible along the Blue Ridge Escarpment. These rainfall amounts could lead to localized areas of flooding. The heaviest rain and greatest flooding threat will be Saturday night and through the day Sunday across the mountains. Scattered showers will continue on Monday, but additional rainfall totals will generally be light except for along the immediate coast.
