The master storyteller performance by Vicky Town: “Heroes Great and Small” originally scheduled for 3 p.m., this Thursday, July 23rd at the Caldwell County Public Library Main Branch, is being moved to the Caldwell County Alden E. Starnes County Office Plaza, at 905 West Ave NW, Lenoir.
The program will be held in the City/County Chambers which is on the first or ground floor of the building. Those attending should park behind the County Office Plaza in the large parking lot and enter the doors there.
A new air conditioning unit is being installed at the main branch of the library this week, and is not expected to be finished and in place until Friday.
“With the heat expected to be particularly bad this week, we thought it best to move the performance to another county building to be safe,” explains Erica Lien, Caldwell County Youth Services Librarian.
Vicky Town is a master storyteller and in “Heroes Great and Small” she is expected to share stories of heroes, she-roes, monsters and mayhem. Designed for elementary school age children, the audience is expected to chant, sing and act out the stories along with Ms. Town.
Ms. Town will also be presenting a fun storytelling workshop before the performance for 7-12- year-olds from 1:45-2:30pm.
