Special Event Standby Request

Request for Caldwell County EMS Standby

Please use the email link below to request a standby form for standby services. Requests must be made two (2) weeks prior to the event to allow ample time for planning and coverage. Prior to filling out the form, please review the information on fees. If the event is within the two (2) week time limit, please contact Emergency Services at (828)757-1424 to determine if the request will be possible.

Fees

Currently, Caldwell County has a standardized fee schedule for standby services. This includes services for a transport unit, bike team, special response unit or an EMS Supervisor / single paramedic or BLS resource.

Any request for more than two units requires the addition of an EMS Supervisor.

The fee schedule is renewed each year and is subject to change through the adoption of the County’s annual budget. A new fee schedule goes into effect on July 1 of each year, at the beginning of the County’s fiscal year. Standby units can consist of the following:

  • Ambulance: 2 Paramedics on an ambulance
  • Ambulance: 2 EMT-Basics on an ambulance
  • Bike Team: 2 bike Paramedics (Currently Developing)
  • ATV Team: 1 EMT-Basic 1 Paramedic
  • Special Response unit: 2 Paramedics on 4x4 Special Operations Rescue Ambulance
  • EMS Supervisor: 1 Paramedic resource/officer
  • Any amount of additional staff requested
