The Caldwell County RESTART Post Overdose Response Team is a division of Emergency Services, comprised of Community Paramedics and Peer Support Specialists. We provide support, engagement, resources navigation and education to individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorder or other substance use challenges. Our team’s focus is to advocate and provide support for individuals seeking treatment for substance use and to support them maintaining their recovery, whatever pathway works for them.

Being a Post Overdose Response Team, we are able to run 911 calls involving overdose and substance use. This is a unique space that our multi-disciplinary team is able to occupy. Our peer support specialists are able to quite literally meet people where they are at, in one of the most vulnerable times, following a non-fatal overdose. This specific interaction between the individuals and our peers is crucial and effective for building trust and creating non-judgmental, empathetic relationships.

  • Medication Assistance Treatment options

  • Recovery housing
